Event Description

Master puppeteer and veteran long form improviser, Josh Cohen (The Jim Henson Company, The Josh and Tamra Show, Conan O’Brien, UCBNY) is coming to BOSTON, NORTH CAROLINA, ATLANTA AND NYC to teach this rare one-day crash course.

Students will be taught proper “Jim Henson” puppetry techniques for the stage and screen with a heavy focus on the use of puppets for long form improv. Workshop participants will learn the basics of hand and rod “Muppet style” puppetry, vocal characterization, puppet character development, as well as “advanced on-camera reversed monitor puppetry”. All class participants will receive a free practice sock puppet.
