Seeking puppet-building partners near London or Cambridge

Erm, hi.
I... need some people to make puppets with. And a place to do it. I can find the place if you don't have one. When I start projects on my own, I lose any sense of direction.

At this stage, I just need to be around anyone who'll have some understanding of what I'm trying to do. We can be working on entirely different projects as long as we are able to discuss our methods.

In order to get to grips with the process.

Then I'd like to make rubber molds and such.

Hey'all. Do we have a plan to set something up in Manchester next month?
I'm fidgeting around london looking for some sort of generalized craft studio, but will still be up for this.

aww can see you're chomping at the bit there!
Unfortunately my project has been extended right up until christmas so I'll be up in yorkshire til the 17th and then I'm away for at least part of xmas. Next year should be easier as I'll either be working at home or the interview I had today will come to something in which case I'll be working locally. Feel free to go see Horse and Bamboo or meet up in Manc without me though, I won't be offended as long as I can come next time!
I've been working on my website mostly as I can do some of that at work in my lunch hours so at least I'm partly being productive, hope to have some time to puppet make in earnest over xmas.

Hello,

I'm based in Liverpool, and an absolute beginner.
I've made three sock puppets and the proud owner of a cubic foot of packaging foam with some purple fleece in the post!

I'd love to meet up and pick up some tips on making puppets and performing with them.

Hi Warren, sounds as good a place to start as any! When we do get something sorted out we'll make sure we'll let you know. It looks like its going to be somewhere up in Manchester if you don't mind travelling a bit :)
