Hello Tony and Ronnie, welcome the British contingent!
Think Tony's marionettes and woodcraft are wonderful, just what people need to know about.

just don't play scrabble cadidcreatures, that's a dangerous game to play with very little sleep.

Why do you have to clean your apartment?

Has anyone had a 'Eureka' moment when working a string puppet? There I was manipulating a sock on the end of two strings attached to two flexible poles and being asked by the film director to walk the sock down the street as if it was young and full of confidence. And I do it, and something is going through those poles and down those strings from my brain to the sock to make it look confident. And it works!! What's going on?

Chime in, what is your favorite controller! I hate airplane. Hard to pack, too wide when performing. I prefer horizontal with rockerbar legs and english wire arms. I just lay it on a shower curtain and fold. Stores in seconds and has never tangled yet.

I like the so-called English control that Eric Bramall used at the Harlequin Theatre in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, for some puppets, and the Dwiggins control in his huge book, 'The Dwiggins Marionettes', for other puppets. They both seem to do the same thing in different ways. The Dwiggins control is flat though.

Just worked on a independent short film where the two marionettes (made by myself) were operated from chains. I thought strings were tough to master, try operating a marionette from 2 metres of 3.5mm galvanised link chain!!
It seemed to go well but we shall see when it's all put together. Had well appreciated help from Raven Kaliana and Sara Kirkpatrick.
