I'd like to join so I can see other puppeteers videos and also have my videos get seen. I'm yourstayathomedad on youtube. Thanks!

Welcome, I am just doing this as another hobby - just for fun of it.  You can see a wide range here, a lot interesting.    My uploads have been limited due to bandwidth available times for such.

I'm interested in working on a project with amateur puppeteers in my area. I'm in New York City so it shouldn't be too hard finding them. But how?

Are you wanting to know how to find them, or what project to do with them?

Interesting Nick, I am looking to try some different things this year after breaking the first camera right before I was ready to try something with the town festival.    Labor Day weekend, weather permitting as I want to see what I can do outside.

The one thing I've learned is that it's better to film on slightly overcast days. For some reason, it makes the colors more true.

Likely true, but not always possible.   Also such would make seeing the LCD screen easier.
