Soupy toy marionette

one of my childhood favorites Is that the knickerbocker brand marionette with the goofy paddle control with the levers on it?

Yes David, I had a bunch of the Knickerbocker marionettes, as well as Pelham and Hazelle.

That plastic paddle was really strange on the Knickerbocker's, the handle on the control would break off  at times. 

I still liked my Pelham puppets the best.

let's face it Pelhams were the Crem De La Creme of Toy puppets. Especially the characters with wooden legs and metal joints
