- Grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the son of a French theatre director father and a Brazilian psycho-dramatist mother, Bruno Descaves inherited his artistic disposition from his parents. Bruno started to study drama and the plastic arts at an early age. He took up the violin while still in his adolescence, studied music and photography and later graduated with a BSc in Physics from PUC - RJ (the Catholic Pontifical University of Rio de Janeiro). Having got his degree, he altered course in terms of a career and set off to see the world. He travelled to Europe, Africa and Asia, getting to know different cultures and performing his show in various different languages.
Bruno has given over three thousand performances world-wide. He has won a number of awards in recognition of the artistic singularity of his performance and has been invited to take part in festivals, as well as give interviews for and take part in TV programmes. It is precisely the unconventional nature of his shows that has made him stand out from the crowd and has brought him success. His shows are full of action, humour and surprises, enchanting people of all ages and cultures.
