My Puppet A Week project

Posted on February 1, 2012 at 9:03am 7 Comments

I'm editing a video from weeks 3 and 4, but I've been blogging about the process as I try and build a new puppet each week of this year. The first couple were pretty straight up Project Puppet pattern ones, the third week was a Penguin loosely inspired by the project puppet patterns, and the fourth week was a newspaper bunraku puppet. This week I'm making a Wil Wheaton puppet to turn into a Fairy Godmother for a…

Puppets at Dragon*Con

Posted on September 6, 2011 at 2:14pm 0 Comments

For those unaware, Dragon*Con is a large pop-culture convention held here in Atlanta every Labor Day weekend for the past 25 years.  It's more than just a comic or sci-fi convention and still has a very "fan driven" vibe to.

I've worked on 40+ of this basic design and today was only the second time I tried to put a human-esque nose on one. I figured Carl needed a… Continue

Do you make puppets for other people. I work fulltime and first started making hand puppets for nieces andnephews; I bought a puppet at Toys R Us, and I'm in awe of the puppets on 'the puppet hub.'

where can i find them and does anyone sell 'gently' used puppets?
