Profile Information

Sines, Portugal
Relationship to Puppetry
I make puppets and marionettes out of papier máchê and entertain children with them.
What First Got Me Interested in Puppetry
I always have been linked to arte e some way or another, always liked to work with my hands and I always wanted to have some link to theatre, but not having anyone linked to it in my family made it more difficult to see what I really wanted, so when I found out that puppets and entertaining children would bring me closer to that world, I didn´t look back.
My Puppetry (or Puppet) Hero
I love the puppet show.
If I Were a Puppet, I'd Be...
This is difficult to answer, because there are so many fantástic puppets out there, and the more I know the more difficult it is.
More About Me:
I was born in Moçambique, when I was 5 years old I went to South Africa, then at 8 I went to Macau now I am in Portugal because my father chose Portugal over Australia, were I really wished we had gone. But now I am married and have a lovely son. I took a degree in Animal Production because I´ve always liked animals, too.
Now I´m a papier máchê artist and a childrens entertainer and hope that puppets became a more importante parte of my life.

Hi Claudia!

Thank you for your kind comments, I can really appreciate your area of puppetry too; beautiful work!

I actually just uploaded some videos of Rumpelstiltskin in action; you can find them on my page!

Hey thanks! Yeah, I was a clown in Ukraine, in the Venograski's Children's Circus. It is fun to do clown stuff. If you need to know about muppet style puppets, I will help you as best I can.

Thanks, I´m thinking of making a mermaid as my first foam puppet, lets see how I do. If it gets a little tricky I will ask for help and I will take some fotos of my progress.

Thanks Claudia, It is Rod Steward in fact ironically when I was finishing the animations strings I was listening to one of his albums and it fit so well with him.
Again thanks for the comments.

Thanks. That's my Mable. She loves to get the boys all up on stage sitting with her, making them do exercises and giving them rules so they can be her boyfriend "Like get a good job". I really enjoy working with her. And now it's really me. Sorry again about answering back under Freds login. Like I said he can't really do the WEB stuff but I print off notes to him and show him the page additions every time I get a chance to go down and see him. Again 'Thank You"

very cute. And it sounds like about the same. Thanks for the cudo's about Fred's and Jimmy's pages. They both entertained prior to the YouTube and internet so this is a great way for further generations to enjoy them as well.

You have quite a collection of figures you have made and they are wonderful. Very prolific indeed. Of course if throwing your voice is to be tried with the marrionettes it would not go over if that is what you are trying to do. Keep up the great work.
