Stained Innova! HELP!

My church had a Innova (puppet productions 1970-2009) puppet donated to us several years ago. I love the character, but I never use him because his hands are terribly stained. Any ideas?

I've been thinking about purchasing this pattern and before I invest in it, I must know, I it a good pattern? What are the pros and cons to this pattern? Please Reply.

Use it all the time on costumes for things like make up and even lipstick. Works great. I would try the mild soap idea first though."

You can use gentle soap and a toothbrush. The above link is very helpful. I have successfully cleaned makeup off of a flesh colored puppet with this method. Can't hurt to try."
