Relationship to Puppetry
I grew up watching The Melikin Puppets as a kid (www.melikinpuppets.com), and created my own degree in puppetry at Columbia College, Chicago. I've worked for local Chicago puppet companies as a performer a builder, along with several children's theatre companies.
What First Got Me Interested in Puppetry
Watching the Melikin Puppets perform every year at my school for 9 years growing up, and discovering Hystopolis Productions and working on their re-mount of "The Adding Machine." And of course the standard answer: Jim Henson and Bil Baird.
My Puppetry (or Puppet) Hero
Mel Biske, David Herzog, Bill Fosser, Bob Brown.
If I Were a Puppet, I'd Be...
Built by Bob Brown.
More About Me:
I'm 26 and living on the south west side of Chicago. I've been involved professionally with puppetry for almost 10 years now. I'm looking to create my own 30 minute birthday party variety marionette show, along with other children and adult productions in the not too distant future.
My Company/Troupe/Group
Platypus Puppets.
Affiliations/Professional Organizations
David Herzog's Marionettes, Jabberwocky Marionettes, Hystopolis Productions, Puppeteers of America, Emerald City Theatre.

Thanks for the nice comments.......I'm just not so sure it would be a good idea to be a bob brown puppet. You have no idea what I put the poor things through!

There are so many different controls for the break aways. Let me know which one you decide on I am very interested. Also if a part is missing let me know I can re-create it and get it out to you. Last thing. The body (can't remember if I said it but) there needs to be a 1/2" bead between each of the rib parts and to make up the neck. I can shoot a close up of mine if you think it will help. Good Luck with the Bones in a bucket adventure :)
