Hello Pix. I am hoping to get a chance when traveling to the Dallas area to visit your theater. I will email you when a project comes up in that area.

Hello Pix. I gather from the conversation on the Fred Page that you have some of the pieces from the Mexicana show. If you have any photos that you would like to share I would love to add them to that page. Thanks.

Pix, For heaven's sake, put a photo up. Don't be a non-discript hand puppet. It is just not your style! Maybe we can keep in touch better on here? All the best!

Nice idea. I was so bereft when the old lever valves went away that I have to say that it never occurred to me to dig around until I found one with a "real world" purpose. Nicely done, and you can shut the air off and don't have to worry about accid…

I didn't get a chance to get to know Jim but as so many times look back with the regret of a missed chance to. "God Bless and Keep You Jim".

Jim was one of my oldest, and dearest friends. Jim, Kathy Piper and I worked together at a college fair in Chicago around 1954. Two years later Jim and I toured the country with Hansel. No Mics. live show! We were young! Two set ups a day! We were c…

I am deeply saddened by this news. I did not know Jim very well. We had only exchanged a few messages back & forth. I do know that his name was connected to Puppetry as long as I can remember. And, I know that he did much good work for this art form…

Poor Jim! He really knew his stuff about puppetry. His version of Cinderella was a real gem based on the English pantomime version of the story. He was one of the most skillful marionette builders ever. I hope people who had difficult dealings with…

A friend passes

Just a note to all the folks here on Puppet Hub -- Buffalo puppeteer Jim Menke passed away yesterday after a stroke earlier this month. His love for puppetry and theater was pretty much unmatched, and his talent was remarkable.

I had to chance to reconnect with him last year, and I will miss his emails and his correspondence. His enthusiasm and his love for this art helped rejuvenate me, and for that reason, I will miss him.
