David, she had a very basic airplane control with seperate leg bar. Her only speciality strings were ones pulling her hands to her hips. The other unusual string configuration was cradle strings to hand & lower arm that were on a run-thru. It was...

Phillip, I saw the video of you operating Mrs Noah The movement was wonderful. The little dance moves she was doing were very charming. What sort of contrrol did she have?

Tony, The paddle control in the Malkovich film was designed to create a simple basis of operation that would not tangle even with the quick movements & abrupt actions required by the storyboard. (As you may know the original controls were complex ...

Henry; Great puppet and love your photos of marionettes under construction. As people who also make marionettes we really appreciate the "in progress" photos.
Really classy looking!

I'm listening. I think you left me a message saying you had an idea? From the exciting things I have seen about your work I would love to know your idea.
Tony- I have no doubt of the value of the wonderful skeleton puppet you make, I just want one very much and I don't think I can come up with $350 for it. As one reader said--do you consider payments?

How cool is that? Someone looks for a marionette, someone provides a link and then the puppet maker/manipulator himself is already on Puppet Hub to answer the question. It is quite a small world.
Nice to meet you and wow! you make really wonderful puppets!

Hello Tony,
Good to meet you yesterday at the May Fayre. Seeing so many Punch and Judy's makes me wonder how many marionette people there are in Britain?
Keep in touch. Best wishes,
Jan

Hi Tony-
I started with marionettes and still make them also- although I haven't carved figures for a long time - enjoy it when I do though !
I tend to model heads , I prefer that method if honest . However there's nothing quite like a fully carved figure . You're right the market is very limited for puppets of this type ,but great to see them popping up again ! Keep up the good work and enjoy !
