KCET's "Storytime" on PBS in the early '90s with the puppet Kino as played by Mark Ritts. I watched this show as a 5- and 6-year-old and I think it made more of an impression on me than anything else at the time. No easy feat, as I was fascinated by pretty much everything!
My Puppetry (or Puppet) Hero
Four-way tie between Jacques Chesnais, Jim Henson, Rowlf the Dog, and of course Kino since he got this all started.
If I Were a Puppet, I'd Be...
Just give me a moveable mouth, that's all that matters.
More About Me:
Puppeteer, actress, francophone, writer, and international villainness under the name of Carmen Sandiego. Whoops, did I say that last part out loud?
No, but seriously, I do puppetry for both children and adults, in both English and French. This past April, I wrote, directed, and performed in the original puppet play THE GOLDEN STOAT, a fractured fairy tale for adults, which was performed in NYC as part of a theatre festival at Columbia University.
