Sorry I guess I was not clear. I have a small tub in my van with about a dozen filled sand bags. I don't give myself enough set up time to go looking for sand etc. They don't have to be big but the placement is important. Each bag is divided in half…

Wish you could guarantee finding stuff to fill bags wherever you go (rocks, dirt, whatever) as I didn't think about how jugs take space en route. Even my husband's thoughts about tent pegs don't necessarily work as sometimes you wind up on concrete.…

I actually carry sand bags with me for my marionette variety show frames. But the cart probably will not need them. It is heavy and should be fine out doors. Many of the outdoor events that I perform for use the water jugs to hold down tents. But th…

GREAT IDEA! I thought about the bean bags because they hold down printed stuff on a table. My techie husband wonders if the idea might be to build in some "give" so nothing gets ripped. At 1st he wondered how to anchor the jugs. I said straps or may…

Thanks for this addition to the discussion Dudley started. It shows how the ideas just have no limit if you let your creativity flow. I loved the cart & your cast of standard Commedia-like stock characters is 1 of the things I have wanted to do more…

Looks like a good set up. Thank you for sharing it. I once made a portable chicken house out of pcv pipe. the problem was it sagged, it was too long, doesn't look like that is a problem with your cart, it looks great.

Lois thought that you all might like to hear about my new project.  A number of years ago, on the now defunct yahoo marionette list, there was a discussion about this Christmas Ornament - well I think that is what it is.  Here is the phot that start…

Hi Brad, I actually have a couple of puppets that go from one show to another and always put a note on the trunk so that I remember to move them back. Most of them are from the Christmas show though so I don't need to worry till November. This was m…

New Show

A while back there was a discussion about this marionette cart. I was intrigued and started working on it between other things that I had already committed to. Here is the original photo that sparked the discussion.

Slowly but surely I started working on the skeleton of the cart. There are still a few small probl… Continue

Hi Susan,
We got more than a foot of snow here. Spent the day digging out yesterday. I plan to be in Atlanta and will be leading a workshop. See you there!
