Never trust auto-renew...
The Puppethub.com domain is temporarily offline until the manual renewal kicks in in 24-72 hours. Puppethub can still be accessed until then by using www.puppethub.ning.com
Please spread the word.

Welcome all new Hubbers!
Just a quick apology for the delay in getting a bunch of the New Members approved and online this past week. We were offline for a bit here at PuppetHub Central, but will hopefully be able to keep up with the flow a bit more promptly from now on. Please enjoy the community and we look forward to learning more from all of you.

Hi Puppet Hubbers,
As many of you have surely noticed, the Chat tab and chat box have disappeared. As part of a major upgrade and redesign due out on March 4th, Ning has moved Chat to a permanent location at the bottom right of each page window. It is now flash based and can actually remain open and functional even when you are not on the site. Please see this link for a bit more info:
It is a little… Continue

Right at this very moment we have 129 real members (and two fictional ones) from, I think, seven countries. We've got many, many very cool and interesting photos and videos. We've got groups and blogs and discussions (oh, my).
Your friendly administrators, here, are really just very excited the site is growing like it is. It is so great to see people using it, as we intended, to share their work, meet new people, catch up with old friends, exchange ideas, etc, etc, etc.

For anyone who was getting the "server not found" message today, the problem has been fixed. You can now access the site the usual way at puppethub.com.
Sorry, sorry, sorry! This particular problem should not recur.

First of all, I may have been wrong in my last post. Seems like they are still monkeying around with a few things. So if you are still experiencing any strangeness, sit tight. (Or do like me and try another browser, if you can ; )
Second of all...I have just discovered that a new release is coming next week. A few changes in look and function (some of which pertain more to us administrators than all of you) will come with that. This is one very cool thing about Ning; they continue to… Continue

For a few minutes there the site was looking *really* weird and wrong in Firefox. I tried Safari and things looked fine. I don't know what, if anything, others are experiencing with their various browsers.
I went and checked the Ning network creators site and it appears they just put out a mini-release. When they do that, sometimes they need to recalibrate a few things, but hang tight and I believe we'll be back to normal soon. Firefox is working again for me, with the exception of… Continue

And by the way, we'd just like to say how happy we are to see so many familiar, um, "faces" here -- and so many new ones!
(Also, while we have your attention: Did you know that you can blog here, too, if you like? If you go to your page ("my page"), you should see a spot at the top where it says "add blog post" -- click it and blog away.)

You may have experienced some trouble getting onto the site earlier today (we did). Ning apparently had some issues, which they believe they have now resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience.
The Ning folks are really top-notch, very attentive to their sites. Problems are rare, and they are always quickly dealt with. Every once in a while, they do have a new release and take the site down for a few hours. We'll let you know in advance about those outages whenever we… Continue

14 of them at this moment (okay, 13 if you don't count me, since I am not so much a member as a fictitious entity*). We've invited others as well and are hoping to see more of them sign up over the next few days. In the near future we will also be announcing the site more broadly. And in the meantime, please, feel free to invite your friends (click the "invite" tab at the top of the page and you're good to go)!
Welcome, everyone. We're so excited to see you all here!! Please, come… Continue

We're very excited! Now, if we can only find those e-mail addresses we've been looking for...
(See, this is why we need something like Puppet Hub -- all your favorite puppet people, all in one place. Er, or, in theory, anyway. In practice, we'll just have to wait and see. Fingers crossed, of course. )
