I want to go back. Hannah doesn't want to go I don't think so if I go I will go alone. Are you going back? Are you going to Puppet Gumbo? How is Jan & what is happening with the theater? I have done noting in the last year with puppets. My stage is all set up in the garage & I am excited about that so hope fully soon. Too much family stuff going on lately.
Savannah was great. Steve, Hannah & I all went. We all had a wonderful time. From begining to the end all was good. Even the late night get together with puppeteers that are musicians too. It was a very warm welcome for puppeteers in Savannah. Lee Bryan did a great job with all for the Street Fair it was the best I hve ever seen. It was truly aesome. Wish you had been there.
All four of us are going to Atlanta we are going to be helping with the festival it should be great. What all has happened with Jan? What are you doing with puppets now that the theater closed? It is so sad. I really want to go to another festival this summer. I might go next week to Maryland. I would love to go to either one. Just costs so much.
I just got home from annual FSMTA (FL State Massage Therapy Assoc.)Convention in Boca working with our Education Chair on the Monitor Team. Learned a great deal; great networking opportunities, and fun, of course. Much like our puppet festivals! I too would like to go to another festival, but this summer does not seem 'do-able' with our middle daughter's Quince celebration on July 19 and full time graduate classes through August 2ND. Jan is still searching for someone to give her another place to 'set up shop'. All the props, puppets, scenery, etc. are in storage. We are both in Gold Coast Puppet Guild so I do speak with her from time to time.
If you do go to Md. festival, please share your experiences. I'll have to settle for living vicariously through other puppeteers this summer. Personally, I am spreading the word about colaborations between puppetry orgs. and other groups that work with children/students as a means of advancing the Art while promoting better citizens. Keep smiling. Be happy, Hope your fourth was explosively spectacular!:)
Boaters were on my street we now have lake front property this one is our house from the truck as we are driving to pick Hannah up stranded at her work
Hi! Of course I remember....Good to hear from you! Wow... you've been really busy. Congrats in advance on your MS. Literacy and education through puppetry are so important...you're on the verge of wonderful things. The Palette Project sounds like a great way to advance those goals. I wish you the best of luck!
I just debuted a new show..."Planet Protectors." It's my last attempt at doing an educational show aimed at Elementary Schools. There's a great need....but the schools have no money and the work has been so sparse. Next time I'm in the neighborhood we should get together and talk about non-profit possibilities for funding. I've always been for profit...but the profiting just hasn't been happening lately! Errrggghhh. Maybe it's time for the non approach.
I'm really pumped about the new show though...it's REALLY hi tech and very different concept wise...but it's been a big hit all two performances so far! I'm going to do a promo blitz to schools in the next couple of weeks. Wish me luck!
Hey, is anything happening with Jan and the Center?
Thank you for your kind words. Other massage therapists have said that I should make a CD specifically for therapeutic healing. I'll add your comments as another sign that I should continue work on that CD. Playing multiple recorders at once is a result of a lot of practice. It's not so much the movement of the fingers that's the real challenge - it is the equalization of airflow through two different sizes of recorders. Their chambers are physically different in size, so the balancing the airflow to produce a harmonious sound is the tricky part. Lots of practice - more practice - play a lot.

We can chat after you have finished all your paprs for school & before Atlanta. We hope to be there. Money has been slow so we haven't paid yet but hope to the end of the month. I will try to keep you posted. Sorry to hear about such a horrible accident. Looking forward to seeing you.
We are finally registered & paid for Atlanta WOO HOO! Can't wait to be there. Also looking into going to Puppet Fest Mid West. I need time to work on my own show so I don't know if I should stay home or go?
Yes we are going to Atlanta to the National Puppetry Festival. So I will love to share about how wonderful it will be. I can't make the Puppet Fest Midwest. I have taken care of my Grandson since he was 3 weeks old. So we are buddies. He is coming to Atlanta on July 19th hopefully he will see Drew's show at The Center of Puppetry Arts. Will you be able to attened the Orlando International Puppetry Festival? It should be great. July 10th, 21st, 25th, 26th. It is closer for you & not as costly. Check out www.ibexpuppetry.com I am going to miss most of it because I am going to stay in North Carolina for a week after the festival. I plan to be there on July 10th. Hope to see you there. Next summer I want to attened the O'Neill Intensive.
